It also records and then wipes their memories, over and over. Each Stranger is given a dark crystal that enhances their powers. The “Strangers” are humans created to fight the darkness that Lufenia pumps into the world. ![]() Using their dimensional crystal matrix, the Lufenians can reset time in the land of Cornelia, giving them infinite opportunities to fix the balance of light and darkness. The Lufenians decide to leave the land of Cornelia and use their advanced technology to essentially play god with the world. The Lufenians discovered that the balance between darkness and light has been shifting, which will lead to the world’s destruction. In Stranger of Paradise, however, they’re much more of a villainous organization. The first thing to understand about the game’s ending is something called the “Stranger Project.” In the first Final Fantasy, there was an advanced race of beings known as the Lufenians, who helps the Warriors of Light. The Warriors followed through, slowly regaining lost memories of other cycles they had been a part of, adding more mystery to who they were and where they came from.Īsh and the rest of the group, excluding Neon, originated from Lufenia, a place controlling Cornelia's world by either injecting darkness into the world or resetting the world to maintain a balance between the two forces and keeping Cornelia away from their world. When the group traveled back to the kingdom to report, the King gave them the full story about what the Warriors of Light were expected to do: go around and purify the crystals that had been taken over by a powerful darkness. ![]() Neon forced herself into Jack's group and became their 'fourth' Warrior of Light. After defeating the knight, it was revealed that Garland was a woman named Neon, who had given up to despair and turned into something that the Warriors of Light could find and defeat. ![]() They met 'Chaos' who happened to look a lot like Garland, the knight that Princess Sarah was looking for. To gain the King of Cornelia's trust and gain access to the Chaos Shrine, they set off to slaughter monsters. Ash arrived in Cornelia alongside Jack and Jed, who showed their Dark Crystals to each other.
